A week-long experience

  • ESTABLISH new friendships with girls from neighboring schools who will be future classmates

  • BOOST classroom comfort with ‘familiar faces’ from  justGametime's week long camp experience

  • EASE the concern of being socially isolated in a new and much larger school community

  • CAPTURE their confidence as girls transition from middle school to high school

This transformative week-long experience empowers 8th grade girls to step confidently into high school, surrounded by new friends and familiar faces.

No two days are alike

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to sports, this camp uses the power of play to connect, form friendships, and build confidence.

Research shows that 14-year-old girls are dropping out of sports at two times the rate of boys.

A 2022 survey by Women in Sports found that more than 1 million teenage girls, 43%, who once considered themselves sporty dropped out of a sport after elementary school.

"As they move to the high school setting, many 9th grade students tend to view themselves more negatively and experience an increased need for friendships.

This is a relatively universal experience for the young adolescents, as studies reveal this to be true for even honors or“high achieving” students."

“It’s an absolute travesty that teenage girls are being pushed out of sport at such a scale. Losing sport from their lives during these formative years equates to a loss of joy as well as good lifelong health. It is well documented that taking part in physical activity can have a profound and positive effect on mental wellbeing as well as providing many pivotal life skills such as resilience, teamwork and communication.
