before school begins

This transformative week-long experience empowers 8th grade girls to step confidently into high school, surrounded by new friends and familiar faces.

No two days are alike

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to sports, this week-long experience uses the power of play to connect, form friendships, and build confidence.

RESEARCH shows ...
Girls consistently rank "finding and maintaining friendships" and "fitting in socially" as their top concerns, outranking worries about grades,
homework load, or teacher expectations.

"As they move to the high school setting, many 9th grade students tend to view themselves more negatively and experience an increased need for friendships.

RESEARCH shows ...
that “unstructured social times are consistently reported as one of the top anxiety-producing situations for incoming freshmen, especially among girls."

The fear of "having no one to sit with at lunch"is consistently rated as one of the top 3 anxieties about starting high school.

LOCATION & DATES

  • DuPage & Will counties high schools

  • Camps will be held at high schools in late July or early August before school begins.

  • Best dates are chosen based on the needs/availability of the students and school

PROGRAM FEE

  • The fee will be set once student mentor participation and final details of the program are confirmed.

  • We are committed to keeping the program accessible while providing quality experiences and leadership opportunities.

FRIDAY
AWARDS CEREMONY

  • Time: 1:30 - 2:15 pm

  • We welcome parents, siblings, and all family members to join us at the awards ceremony.
